Harmony, peace and prosperity are the big 3 issues my feng shui clients are asking for now. Harmony is when ‘order’ is both within us and around us – then peace and prosperity are the outcomes.

Albert Einstein once quoted,

Out of clutter, find simplicity.

From discord, find harmony.

In the middle of difficulty,

lies opportunity.

But, how can we embrace healthy, green feng shui concepts in our homes and communities today?

The answer is first to call for  a feng shui analysis today and to get back in touch with Nature. Feng Shui is based on the Taoist philosophy from which the famous  Tai Chi symbol originates.

This symbol suggests that balance and harmony come from Yin-Yang relationships, which in this case, are about partnerships between Human Nature and Mother Nature.

Instead of using the ‘C’ word to control Nature; we can pay more attention to connecting with Nature, and controlling what we put into our bodies, homes and workplaces.

The ‘sun’s gift’ to humans provides vitamin D – a 15 minute daily walk in Nature is calming and much healthier than popping pills. It also provides the natural energy to grow healthy food to ‘nourish’ our bodies and minds.

Balance is needed between connecting with Mother Nature or connecting with a digital device; connecting with real food vs. whatever big companies put in a box.

3 Priority Tips to promote Green Feng Shui Homes

1. Survey the bedroom to ensure Rest:  Use healthy  Natural fibers for the bedding, mattress, window coverings, etc. vs. synthetics which look pretty, but  may create allergies and poor sleep patterns.

1/3 of our time is spent ‘rejuvenating our energy’ in bed.

Eliminate devices with Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs) especially with children. Remove the clutter.

2. Survey the kitchen for Nourishment :   Feng Shui is not about the fancy counter tops; the kitchen is about nourishment, and connection. Remove the clutter.

80%  fresh, whole foods directly from clean water, soil, and air. 20% , or less, refined foods with toxic chemicals added to prolong the shelf life.

We want what we ‘see’. Display a few of the colorful veges & fruits on the counter, and keep the junk food ‘out of sight’.

3. Surround home with healthy, green plants: to connect with Nature and clean the air.

No time you say!  Actually, plants are a wonderful opportunity to help you ‘slow down’ and ‘pay attention’. When caring for plants, you meditate naturally- helps the inner harmony.
